Calling all climate leaders

New awards recognize companies and municipalities that are taking action on climate change

Do you know a company in Nipissing-Timiskaming that deserves to be recognized for tackling climate change? A business that, for example, is reducing energy consumption by upgrading heating, lighting or adopting other energy efficiencies?

Or a municipality in our riding that takes a creative and novel approach to reducing carbon emissions?

We’re asking for your help to tell them about the recently launched 2018 GLOBE Climate Leadership Awards.

These awards will celebrate trailblazers from across Canada that are taking action and making an impact in combatting climate change.

Applications are being accepted until Feb. 13, 2018, in four categories (small business, large business, small municipality, large municipality).

Winners will be honoured at the GLOBE Forum 2018 taking place in Vancouver, B.C., March 14-16. They will also be featured in a nationwide publicity campaign.

GLOBE Forum brings together representatives from the worlds of business, government and civic leaders interested in sustainability and clean tech.

The federal government through Environment and Climate Change Canada is proud to support these new awards, in partnership with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, Business Council of Canada, and the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.
