September 14, 2016 – New Liskeard, ON – Federal Economic Development Initiative for Northern Ontario – FedNor
Anthony Rota, Member of Parliament for Nipissing–Timiskaming, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, and Minister responsible for FedNor, today announced an investment of $381,548 in support of eight projects in the Temiskaming Shores region (see attached Information Sheet).
Provided through FedNor’s Economic Development Initiative, Northern Ontario Development Program and the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program, this funding will support a variety of projects in the areas of infrastructure, tourism, youth, business development and community economic growth. Organizations that will benefit from this announcement include: Temiskaming Shores & Area Chamber of Commerce, City of Temiskaming Shores, Township of Casey, Town of Englehart, Township of Kerns, Township of Chamberlain, Municipality of Charlton and Dack, and the Township of Harley.
